< Back to Projects Client: Dell Computer Corporation Project Name: Dell Intranet Training Medium: Network / Database Description: Created a full-scale education and testing system on Dell's intranet to train staff on web site content skills. The system pre-tests Dell employees, offers tutorials to improve their skills and follows up with a post-test to ensure that skills were learned and can be applied. The tests are administered and maintained via web-interface on the intranet. The system enables employees to take the tests and tutorials at their convenience scheduling around normal work commitments, reduces Dell's training costs, and allows for ease of grading and recording data on employees' skill levels. This testing system uses Perl on Windows NT, connecting to an Oracle database. Please note: This system is located on Dell Computer's intranet system and therefore is not accessible to the general public.
